ok so like it starts off with anais being anais and she decides "hmm yes im going to pis of a dragon and get into a yelling match with him" and drags emo monster boy with her just cuz and suddenly a Really Bad Thing happens before she can do shenanigans!!!!
basically this girl (lets call her evil betch) somehow awakens satan (not actually named satan or anything but honestly hes so evil and demonic you might as well call him that) just because she wants to start an empire and rule the world
and she had already amassed a following from previous failed attempt (anais had foiled her plan before but didnt think much afterwards bc she only went bc it was affecting her people)
so evil betch and satan dragon are abducting people from a nearby kingdom to use as their minions and they're picking them up using some really fukcn strong wind and suddenly this dragon girl appears with survivors and basically shes leading people into a place hidden using a really ancient magic spell or something and is letting them stay there until the whole evil thing is gone
anais and emo monster boy are like "yo whats going on who r u" and dragon girl replies "im saving people also my names cosmo" and they're like "cool we're gonna go back home to save people cmon" and cosmo joins the gang (i didnt list her before rip but basically shes rlly nice and amazing and w i s e)
so they yeet back to their kingdom but oh shid oh fuj they were too late and basically everythings destroyed
they left aridan here and like anais is Very upset because shes like "omg what if hes dead or abducted to become an evil cohort"
after a while the 3 are like "ok lets save people before evil betch can take them also we're gonna defeat her"
so they decide to go to the arctic kingdom after passing by a small village (and this random dude constantly pesters anais bc apparently he really likes her)
random dude decides to go with them to the arctic kingdom because he happens to know a thing or two about that place
so they yeet there and it turns out random dude is a prince!!! this fact is quickly not relevant because they're trying to convince random dude's brother (who was temporarily in charge) to give them the ok to evacuate everyone and hes like "eh idrc"
also i forgot to mention that cosmo is very powerful and can generally summon portals to her hidden homeland
suddenly the evil betch attacks!!! things are not good because the wind is burying everything in snow and blowing everyone away
the trio get yeeted into the air but then thrown away into a pile of snow and then evil **** leaves
they get up to find any stragglers and find a lot of tracks. they find out that a bunch of people had their own plans of evacuation but it turns out all of them got swept away apparently
except for one guy :poi:
he was also thrown into the air but also got yeeted away like the trio
they only found him bc they found one of his legs sticking out of a mound of snow
anais pokes his paw (he has the lower half of a rabbit btw) and he FREAKS THE FU CK OUT but then is like "oh you're not evil ok im sorry ma'am"
so rabbit man joins the party!
so they're like "ok um fujk where do we go next" and anais instantly thinks "DESERT"
im gonna take a shower soon so yeah i felt that
but im gonna ramble for a couple more minutes
so they head off for the desert and come across a city along the way
they only stop there to rest for a bit and then get everyone out
2 side characters appear here!
first one is unnamed but is basically the ringleader of a circus
theres really only 1 notable scene with her
(not the exact words btw but yeah basically this is it)
ringleader: hm... i wonder how you'd do in my next act~!
emo monster boy: excuse me... DO I LOOK LIKE A FUC KING CIRCUS ANIMAL TO YOU?! (he has anger issues so he yells a lot)

so yeah the gang's at the desert and they're trynna convince the desert kingdom to get the **** outta there before they get taken by satan dragon and evil ****
everyones like "nah its too hot for them to even reach us lmfaooo"
which was literally the same excuse the arctic kingdom had but with the cold and yall know how that turned out
turns out they're refusing because they want to continue the festival they're having and they dont wanna break tradition so :upside_down:
anais is like "uh ok ig im gonna leave yall to die byeeeeeeeeee"
and then someone stops her and is like "girl no im on your side"
turns out this someone is alianna, the princess of this desert kingdom
and like peacock, she is fanservice supreme but is actually important
also fun fact the desert kingdom has this thing where only the daughters are eligible for taking up the throne (unless there are no daughters in which the most competent son will take the throne) and another fun fact is that alianna has like 4 older brothers and 1 younger one
so alianna decides to send out her brothers to yell at everyone to pay attention and listen to alianna (which does work) and like half the people yeet outta there and the other half refuse to leave because they're boomers
disaster strikes in the desert and the gang gets buried in sand after rescuing alianna from the storm and sending her to the forest place
fortunately bunny boy digs them out bc he can do that
all of them sit there for like 30 minutes just wondering what to do next
they decide to go to a well-known mountain range that has this massive city-state within it
like 1 day into the journey to the mountains they're all tired from what they've been doing and decide to rest somewhere again
and then they find eric the fabulous catboy in his caravan
he immediately flips out bc everyone's a total mess
after calming down, eric doesnt actually want to join the team at first bc hes all like "bUt iM JuSt uSeLeSs aNd My pOwErS ArE WeAk!!111!!!1!!"
anyways um after everyone argues abt eric's usefulness for like 1 hour straight they all decide "ok we're gonna travel in his caravan also he IS useful and productive so shut up eric"
they be travelin
for a while
anais decides to explore some unrelated mountains just to get a good view and is almost trampled by a herd of some kind of animal
everyone else is like "jesus christ anais be careful" and then they continue
but then
surprise!!!!!! enemy troops are on these mountains!!!!
and a familiar face also appears

who could possibly be this familiar person that i had mentioned at the start of the story??
answer: aridan
what sucks about this situation is that aridan has been brainwashed by evil **** and made him one of the sub-leaders
so anais is like "OSHIT YOU ARE ALIVE IM SO HAPPYYYYYY NO WAIT IM SAD NOW BECAUSE YOU ARE EVIL"
and then they fight
the gang kicks the troops' asses and everything is good now except for aridan and anais getting pretty deep into their fight
anais decided "hey im gonna take advantage of aridan's clumsy nature" which works because he gets defeated bc she tripped him BUT before he left he managed to throw her off the cliff by surprise
she is very ok and survives but gets the Nasty Burs™️ in her lovely blonde hair
yes
so he cuts her hair and then cuts it super short bc the first cut he gave her apparently didnt look right
she ruffles up her now super short hair and pisses him off and all is good
they continue in the caravan before heading to the mountain range
they stop in a field for a while to let the horse that was pulling the caravan to graze
the gang decides to vibe for a bit
and guess what happens :kappecolo:
a SUPER PISSED OFF™️ unicorn shows up and tries to kill anais bc she now looks like her brother at first glance thanks to the haircut
anais decides to get on the unicorn and make her ram into a tree (and succeeds)
so now anais is on this furious, yet stuck unicorn
and somehow manages to reason with her and get her to explain why shes so angy
apparently aridan passed by here with his minions and abducted her herd and her foal
the unicorn calms down and anais cuts the tree so that she can get free
the unicorn offers to help the gang, but anais turns down her offer because they dont want her to get put in even worse danger
and so they continue
they make it to the mountain city-state but only managed to rescue few people because evil **** and dragon satan were already steamrolling the city
so now they have one final location to rescue before going to face evil **** themselves
meanwhile, a spirit named paperfriend finds aridan and silently spies on his activities. she is paying attention to him in particular because his soul/the real him is absolutely devastated and is silently screaming for help. she started to communicate with him using paper cranes with messages on them. he is very much in denial at first but the Very Evil mask starts to chip away with each message and paperfriend herself starting to materialize in front of him
a little note about paperfriend: she is a nature spirit who helps and grants wishes to people who truly need some help. she often reaches them because their cries for help are essentially beacons for her. paperfriend herself had gone through hell in her life and it was so bad that the deities in the overworld had taken notice and blessed her with the ability to save and assist those who are in dire need
so eventually aridan just completely breaks and is bawling like a baby while hugging her and she comforts him. they talk for a while and aridan wants to go find his sister again and help her. paperfriend decides that she will go with him
and then back at the adventures of anais n pals... they are in a huuuge hurry because satan dragon and evil **** are gonna destroy the water kingdom next
theres just..... one............... problem..................
THE WATER KINGDOM IS ON AN ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF A HUGE ASS OCEAN
but cosmo, having a galaxy brain and being friends with a huge swarm water fairies, decides to throw a special shell into the sea to summon these fairies
the big momma of these water fairies, rachel, is also brought to anais n pals
rachel is a sad girl tho bc shes been alive for like thousands of years and has seen basically everything PLUS the world is in danger and she feels helpless
rachel decides to join the party since she and the other tinier water fairies know another way to the water kingdom
anyway some of the fairies had started spreading word that there was actually a bigger baddie that needed to be defeated and he was this big ol demon guy
so anais is like "oh **** lets target him instead"
apparently hes also with satan dragon and evil ****
they then quickly went to the caves that would lead them to the water kingdom with rachel leading the way
they fight some generic cave monsters here and there and things seem to be doing ok when theres a really big undrground river they need to get across!!
rachel just flies over it and everyone else jumps across using a large stepping stone
unfortunately, bunny boy does NOT have the best traction and slips on the rock, falling into the intense current
anais manages to grab his hand, but something underwater hit bunny boy's leg and he accidentally let go
so anais, being anais, jumps into the river with him and holds on to him as they are sent down the river
everyone else is freaking tf out and rachel's like "that side of the river feeds into an underground pond" and she hurries to the cave with the pond with everyone else
anais and bunny boy are quickly sent into the pond bc hell current
so time's running out for the two bc they cant stay underwater forever
bunny boy hit some rocks and lost his breath. he started sinking but anais grabbed him and tried her damndest to get to the surface
so there's barely any time left for anais and shes almost there but not quite
she manages to get bunny boy to the surface and then herself up at the very last second and barely lives
the gang finally gets to the part of the pond that the 2 resurfaced at
bunny boy was almost fuckn dead but managed to survive thanks to anais who also almost died (but bunny boy was closer to death bc AHHHHHH)
he was unconscious for a while and emo monster boy was carrying him around until he finally woke back up (and then wrestled his way out of emo monster boy's grasp)
so now practically everyone (except for rachel ofc) was RUNNING for the exit, hoping to make it to the water kingdom on time
the moment they finally stepped out at the kingdom, however
everything was destroyed.
so everyone is sad and angy bc they couldnt save the water kingdom either
they go back to the mainland through the tunnel and find a cave full of things
it looked like it used to house a crazy prophet, and that was exactly the case
the whole place was a mess and some of the papers about potential visions the prophet had were absolutely insane
what popped out to them the most was a painting on the wall, depicting a HUUUGE prophecy and some writing. it was basically like "everythings gonna die but then a guardian angel is gonna come and restore everything yay"
it looked like the painting was there long before the crazy dude lived there and rachel confirmed it
so they're like "damn what if anais is the guardian angel"
and then they're like "nahhhhh everything has to die first"
so they go back to go kick some evil ass
they finally get there after a while bc it was a good distance away from where the tunnels were
they immediately lock on target to demon man and are like "KILL HIMMMMMM"
and he dies
after like forever lol it took a long time to kill him
apparently this was a huge **** mistake
because evil **** was like "HAHAHAHA you killed the wrong guy"
and then anais fights her and evil **** pretends to be defeated, only to power herself up and release the true power of satan dragon
turns out the "everythings gonna die" part of the prophecy has come true and alot of plant and animal life is starting to get drained (also the storm is HELLA)
aridan appears and evil **** is like "go get em" and hes like "no" and goes to anais's side (he also has paperfriend with him which is epix)
so everyone's fighting evil **** while also slowly getting drained of their life force
she does get defeated eventually after everyone going apeshit on her all at once
but this doesnt stop satan dragon
he keeps destroying and destroying
cosmo finally steps forward and claims that she is going to take it from here since she is the only one in the team aside from rachel and paperfriend who knows how to get rid of satan dragon for good
it turns out that cosmo was granted a special crystal thing from the overworld because she asked a character from the overworld for one to defeat satan dragon and the character was like "sure go ahead lolol"
anais, having a huge ego and wanting to be the center of attention, argues that she should be the one to kick satan dragon's ass even though shes probably like even less than an ant compared to him and then she and cosmo fight over the crystal
also note that this crystal actually activates a deep-seated power within the user, rather than grant some kind of wish or something
this is gonna be important in just a minute
so cosmo starts activating the crystal but anais grabs it at the last second basically like "no im gonna kill that son of a **** not you"
and then she disappeared :kappecolo:
no seriously she disappeared and everyone was confused and then panicked
paperfriend told everyone that there are 2 possibilities in this situation:

1. the power had caused anais's existence to just completely collapse and now all hope is **** lost

2. something REALLY AWESOME is about to happen
paperfriend, being able to tell the future, slightly hinted at the 2nd one actually being the one that happens
so then they suddenly see a golden light in the sky and paperfriend is strangely excited for some reason (at least in the gang's perspective)
god ive been kinda thinking that the whole secret about anais and her family is kinda cringe but im gonna continue and die instantly
so the huge golden light suddenly reveals its form!! what is it? A HUGE ASS DRAGON REALLY ONLY BELIEVED TO BE A MYTH BECAUSE THEY HAVENT BEEN SEEN IN THEIR TRUE FORM FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG

ok imma give yall some background about this specific species of dragon
so upon the creation of that universe, all sorts of creatures were created by the mother of the universe. from fantastical creatures to more normal-looking life forms. almost all of them were gently dropped from the overworld into the upperworld, and they developed specific features depending on where they landed. they further evolved over time ofc. however, some dropped further down into the underworld, while some creatures stayed in the overworld.
the ones that stayed in the overworld had become their own things. one of which was the golden angel, the most powerful species of dragon out there. they had various other names too depending on the culture, but are generally just called the golden angel. most of the inhabitants of the overworld wanted to explore the upperworld for themselves, and were granted the ability by mother. the golden angel, being the most powerful, was one of the only creatures who could naturally shapeshift. any others would have to learn it themselves or be granted it. a few of the golden angels that treaded the lands of the upperworld had agreed upon taking a human form. these dragons, now "humans", ended up creating a kingdom together. over time, the dragons born from that singular bloodline had started to forget their true forms. the other golden angels had either gone back to the upperworld or also shapeshifted into other creatures to avoid being hunted or given attention. eventually, they were just passed on as a thing of the past and then a myth.

so dragon anais exists now and everyone is like "HOLY SHITTT THIS IS A HUGE POGGERS MOMENT OMGG"
everyone went from terrified to ecstatic in like 3 seconds
so now satan dragon and dragon anais are fighting now and anais is takin a huge beating but she aint stoppin
cosmo flies out to go tell anais her plan to seal away satan dragon for good
anais is initially upset because cosmo will also have to be sealed away but they decide to do it and anais kicks satan dragon's ass before she and cosmo yeet him into the void
and then whenever the two were sealed away, the sky cleared up and anais started to fall from the sky in exhaustion, reverting to her familiar human form because she's known it for so long that its honestly more of the base form of her now lmao
everyone catches her and shes on the ground, seemingly dead for some reason and then suddenly gets up like "BROOO THAT WAS FUN LETS DO IT AGAI-" and then doubles over in pain because the wounds carried over to her human form and that sucks
after a while, they return to the forest and stay there to recover from everything
anais announces that everyone and everything has been saved from this huge disaster and she is going to send out many of the people in the safe haven to rebuild their homes and lands. she also states that upon breaking a specific amulet that she is holding, she is gonna cast a restoration spell across the entire land and allow the hidden forest (which is the new capital)  to be.. well.. un-hidden. she breaks out the amulet, and those that were willing to leave and rebuild were brought to their respective lands to do just that
and now an irresponsible little **** (anais) is the ruler of everything now
at least her actually reasonable friends will be there to keep her in check
